The pieces are out of the kiln ready for the Christmas party tomorrow. I’m very pleased how the items look and I feel both met the brief.
I think I could have incorporated the tree texture into the bottom of the vessel element. Also could have been mindful of the steel element not touching the tree texture which limited my glazing options.
Unfortunately one of my porcelain vessels stuck to the kiln but no major issues. The brick element didn’t fully stick to the mortar but the glaze has strengthened the bond.
Given the time restraints we had I am pleased overall with the finished items.
We also took pictures of the other students work, such variety and wanting to pinch a few ideas!
