Boat Structure

Given my form is influenced by decaying boats, I searched the internet for images to inspire my work. I liked the skeleton vibe, noticing the gentle lean as it lay on the ground, the negative space within the structure and the flaky paint to the exterior. The texture of the rotten wood and the layers this formed within the imagery is something I want to bring to my work. I also liked the contrast between the curve, straight lines and angles giving depth and interest for the eye. Scroll right to see all images in gallery.
