UCLAY Exhibition

kathrynstevens

We got an early indication of what it is like to show our work in a group exhibition in the PR1 Gallery.

The ground floor exhibition space was used by past students and guest artists (see pictures 1 - 4) which demonstrated how they had developed their work over the last few years since graduating. The mezzanine floor cabinets were take over by the current students where we showed our test pieces, sketches, inspiration, maquettes and any finished pieces (see pictures 5 - 8).

It was a great early learning opportunity of how to lay out your work for an exhibition and what you need to consider. For example do you want your audience to view the space from one side of the cabinet or do you want them to walk round and view each side. It was useful preparation for Ceramic Wales and for our final degree show.
